Drop Peplum

Hello hello,

God it feels so good to be back in Finland for a few days. Even though I've been living in London for almost 4 years now and love the city (at least most of the time, not so much during rush hour or the fact that finding decent rye bread is a life-long battle), and I've been fortunate enough to meet so many amazing people, Finland is, and always will be, the place I call home. This is where I grew up, where my family and best friends live, and where everyone seems to understand this ludacris sounding set of humms and mumms we all call the Finnish language. This is also the country that gave most of us our first mobile phones courtesy of Nokia, the best chocolate and candy selection in the world thanks to Karl Fazer, Angry Birds, Moomins, and most importantly - this is where they keep the rye bread. I consider myself so lucky to have been born here, to a wonderful family and a wonderful home. Coming home is the bestest, wonderfullest, beautiest thing in the world.

Anyhoo, here's an outfit I wore to a friend's birthday party a while back. I've never been one for LPDs (Little Party Dresses), and most of the time I actually dress down when I go out, simply because I feel more at home at a pub gig or a warehouse party, than at a nightclub. I loved this outfit though, it was the perfect combination of dressy and casual - dressy drop peplum top, baggy smart pants, favourite heels, and a statement necklace.
